Good morning scrappers!! I'm here this morning to share a little card that I made for a friend last week. She had had a bit of a though week and I thought getting a card might make her feel a little better. And I was right, She enjoyed her card.

I used the beautiful Here comes the Sun collection to make this card. I did a bit of layering and had popped up the saying and the cookie. I loved the saying, I thought it would be cute and not just a get well card. I added a little word sticker that says never give up. I also made sure that I added a bit of the gold foil PL cards too. I just wanted something a little shiny on there.
I hope you enjoyed my quick little cards today and I hope you have a great start to the new week!

Jan18 Sweet Babe/Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone! How are you doing today?? We've made it to Thursday! The week is almost over!! Come on Friday!!

Well I thought I'd pop in really quick and share with you a layout I made last month with my December 2016 Cocoa daisy DT package.
There were so many pretty papers in this kit and the cut files you got were beautiful too! I was drawn to the embroidery hoop one and the pretty little floral element.

So I cut both of those cut files out, the floral quite a few times, then I decided to fussy cut out some of the pretty flowers from the Pink Paislee paper and started layering them around the embroidery hoop. I added a frame to a portion of the picture, just to add some color and then placed it behind the embroidery hoop.

I added some gold Heidi Swapp Color shine and a strip down the left side and was done. Another quick layout for this week. I think this one took we less than 45 min and thats with the fussy cutting counted in.

I love how it turned out. My youngest daughter is the main focus of the layout, just partially curled up sleeping, lol, she use to do that a lot, not so much anymore! lol, They grow so fast!

Thanks so much for coming by to check out my layout and I hope you come back again and see what else I come up with. If you dont want to miss anything, feel free to hit that follow button and you wont miss out on anything again! And make sure to head over to the Cocoa Daisy Blog and forums to see what else is going on over there!

Jan17 Designer challenge with Cocoa Daisy

Good morning everyone!! Are you up for a little challenge?? Well if so come and play along with us over at the Cocoa Daisy forums and the Cocoa Daisy challenge group! You have a chance to win a store gift card if you win!

So this month the challenge is centered around a mood board and oh man is it pretty, right?

I love the color combo for one, and those flowers are beautiful! I also love the water color look, ok ok its just all so pretty!! lol

This was what I created with that mood board in mind. I kept it soft, I kept it soft. I know there was some navy in the mood board along with some black, but I went with the lighter colors. This picture was just something sweet I caught. My oldest loves his little brothers and sisters, but he loves to sit and talk to the baby and thats what I caught here. So my oldest and my youngest, I just thought it was so sweet!

I used a heart cut file, tone on tone, so that it wasn't to distracting, but I loved the hearts in the background. I layered a little behind the photo and did some fussy cutting with those gorgeous flowers! I added a few little angled strips of the Cocoa Daisy exclusive papers across the bottom and top to frame it in some and add more color, but not to much, for me at least.
I added a few little embellishments here and there, some were punched out of one of the pink paislee papers and some from the exclusive. I added in a few of the floral sprigs and that was it for this one.

Morning everyone.
I'm here to share a quick  layout I made with the pretty Here comes the sun collection!

I know its the middle of the winter here in the US but it has been so pretty outside lately, we went from snow and everything freezing to beautiful 60 and 70 degree weather!! Its horrible for the sinuses but we sure are enjoying it.
I had took a picture of some of the bubbles the kiddos had blown and decided they would be great to scrap with this pretty collection.
I layered paper and vellum behind my photo and started to add my other layers. The die cut pack had this beautiful title and I thought it fit with what I was scrapping so I used it for my title. I wanted to have some balance to the page so I layered some of the same patterned papers on the bottom along with some tabs, labels and doilies. I finished off the layout with some gold Heidi Swapp color shine and that was it. Heidi Shine is a bit of a weakness for me lol.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and I hope it might bring you a little bit of sunshine one a winter day! Make sure to check out the Pretty little studio store to see this collection and the new collections that are coming to the shop!!

Good morning everyone!! I'm here this morning to share with you a layout I created with this months Cocoa Daisy kits, featuring the beautiful Pink Paislee rub-ons.
I love this photo of my daughter and her big ol' smile!I wanted it to be the focal point of the layout. So after I matted the photo with some of the very pretty papers in the kit this month and found where I wanted to place my photo and grabbed that beautiful pack of rub-ons and started to place them in a half circle coming from the photo.
I loved the way it looked but I wanted a little more color in the circle so I put the pretty water color doily one right under the side of the photo and put my title down. I added a small triangle to the bottom left of the layout and added a rub-on there, those run ons go on like butter by the way! And I added a small triangle to the top left and was done.
This layout came together super fast!! I know its a very simple layout, but the way it turned out I was so happy with! These rub-ons were a beautiful addition to this layout and were something so pretty to use as a focal point.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this simple layout and I would love to see what you do with the rub-ons too!! Make sure to come back by and check out what everyone is making with there kits and come join the facebook challenge group and play along with us over there too!!

She is loved / Creative Scrappers Sketch #302

Good morning everyone!! I'm here this morning to share my layout using sketch #302

I followed the sketch really close, I just loved it! And I thought with the multiple photos that this would be a great way to scrap my newest daughter coming home from the hospital and being held by each of her siblings.

I used a pretty collection that had black and white and then papers and patterns that looked water colored. I thought they would be light and airy for a sweet layout like this.

I played with a little bit of dimension, with the circles I cut out and the flair.

I used some little word stickers and a large chipboard word to make my title along with a bit of stitching around the layout and on each triangle.

Thanks so much for coming by to check what was up on the blog today and remember to go follow @creativescrappers on instagram and use #creatingwithsketches to show us what you've created!!

Jan16th DITL cards/Cocoa Daisy DT

Hello everyone! How was your weekend?? Mine was kind of busy. We had a house full of people because we were celebrating one of our daughters birthdays. It was fun and cute, but it made the weekend long!! lol Plus its a long weekend, so today I still have 6 little ones running around the house and all of them keep wanting cake all the time! lol

Well I thought I would share with y'all a layout and a 12x12 pocket page I created with my Cocoa Daisy January DT package. I love to play with DITL cards on my regular layouts, there great for layering and for blocking out layouts, grid designs and all.

So this 1st one I used 2 of the DITL cards and made a bit of a blocked out layout. All centered around the middle of the page.

For me, these are quite simple pages, fast. And sometimes thats all I have time for, lol. I started with the white background and places the picture where I wanted it and then placed the cards.

To start out with, if I'm not sure if I might want to change the layout around later, I put a little adhesive on the back of my cards and picture and then start building. I grabbed the pretty paper that looked like it had doilies on it and fussy cut a few of those out and placed them around the layout. I added a few of the gorgeous wood veneer that came in the kit and one of the exclusive cocoa daisy print and cuts on the layout.

I wanted more to it, it looked to plain, so I added some of the pink paislee rub ons and a little triangle up to the top left. I still wanted a bit more so I punched a few places on the edges of the layout and backed them with some of the exclusive, adorable, strawberry paper. and that was it. It went quite quick and I like that its a soft layout and that the picture stands out. It was just a cute moment between my husband and one of our daughter, watching a game on the phone.

This is my 1st DITL page that I have done this year. And it was for the 1st week of January. I print my pictures off every Monday for the week before, so I will have more. This one is really simple. We had a lot of family in and out after the holidays and little sick ones. So I did a bit of journaling about that week and added a few stickers from one of last months kits and a rub on here and there and called it done. Oh I added that little flair button on the outside of my pocket page so that it wouldn't be sticking up too.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I have done so far this week and I hope you come back by to see what else I post. Make sure to head over the the Cocoa Daisy blog and check out what all the other lovely's are creating! And remember that there are also forums on the Cocoa Daisy site that you can participate in too, and a Cocoa Daisy challenge page on facebook, if your participate you can win a gift card for the shoe!! Cool right?!?!

12x12 layout / Yeah Yeah Yeah.....

Morning everyone! Its cold here, what about where you are?

Well I thought I would do a little scrapping to pass the time and stay cozy here at home. This is a picture we took with our youngest daughter (at the time) to kind of announce we were having another baby. she was super excited, if you cant tell, lol

I started off with a white background and then used a Hip Kit club cut-file that said yeah yeah yeah repeatedly. After that I started doing my layering behind my photo. Different odds and endes from a Maggie Holmes collection.

I loved the bright colors and the teal in the collection went well with her cloths, but we didn't know what we were having at the time, so it worked with the mix of everything.

I added the ephemera pieces, flowers, frames, bows and then added a few enamel dots and word stickers, a strip across the bottom with a few embellishments and that was about it for this one. I did a little journaling on the back, about how everyone reacted to the text with the picture and how excited she was.It was a really simple layout, I think I managed to get it done in about  42 min. and only had to stop once or twice to grab a juice box or snack lol

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout today and I hope you come back again. If you want tot make sure to not miss anything, feel free to hit that fallow button and you wont miss out on anything anymore.

Merry Christmas/ Pretty Little Studio 12x12 layout

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!
Today I'm sharing a layout that I scrapped of my kiddos standing in front of the Christmas tree this year. I don't typically scrap the year I'm in when it comes to Christmas, but I like this goofy picture of my littles in front of the tree.
Today I'm using the Tinsel Town collection, featuring stickers.

I love the pop stickers can give to a layout. It doesn't always have to be a big pop, but its sometimes just enough to pull your eye to the picture.

This layout didn't even start with me matting the picture, to be honest I printed it with one, lol. But I started with laying the larger piece of the red and white Christmas words. Then I put the picture to the right and started layering little bits here and there under the larger piece and under the picture.

I layered my little cluster together on the left side for a bit of balance on my layout and put the wood veneer Merry Christmas title on top and decided that I wanted more on my layout. So I grabbed those cute little (and big) hearts and started adding them above and below my photo and even popped a few up in my little cluster to the left. I thought that brought your eye to the photo more and I loved the way it turned out. To finish it all off I added a little bit of Heidi Swapp color shine.
